About the
West Virginia Trout Fest
The West Virginia Trout Fest is held annually in Franklin, WV on the first weekend in May. There is something to do for the whole family starting with the Trout Dinner on Friday night, followed by live music to close down the evening. Saturday, you can line the rivers with hopes of catching the $1000 fish, shop the sportsman show vendors, support local artists, and unwind and relax with music all day long.
Trout Dinner
On Friday Night, we will kick-off our event with a Trout Dinner prepared by Dean's Gap Farm, a local business that has served the community for years. Tickets are now available through Pendleton County Chamber Board Members.
Trout Rodeo
The Trout Rodeo is fun for the whole family. Participants age 2 and up may compete for their chance to win a fish worth $1000! There will be a special fishing area for youth, as well as additional games and activities for them to participate in. Official rules and details TBA.
Sportsman's Vendor Show
Join us in the Treasure Mountain Festival Craft Building for a Sportsman's Vendor Show. There is guaranteed to be something for everyone.
