Snack Bar Manager
Warner Drive-In (Summer 2026)
Position Overview
Warner Drive-In Theatre is looking for an organized, energetic, and dependable Snack Bar Manager for the 2026 season! This is a seasonal leadership role that begins in April with pre-season preparation and continues through our 14-week summer season (Memorial Day weekend – third weekend of August), with a few additional events in October.
The Snack Bar Manager plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and smooth-running experience for our patrons, overseeing all food service operations, supplies, and staff management.
Key Responsibilities
• Complete and maintain business licensing requirements, including food handler certifications for yourself and staff; post and renew licenses as required.
• Schedule and coordinate inspections (Health Department, Fire & Safety), making necessary corrections and ensuring proper staff training.
• Interview and hire new and returning employees; set up communication channels for staff.
• Organize and lead pre-season cleanup day, train and orient new team members.
• Collaborate with Board Members to order snack bar supplies as well as cleaning products for bathrooms and gate staff needs.
• Collaborate with Board Members of any menu changes or updates.
• Create and manage monthly work schedules, clarify roles and responsibilities, and ensure reliable coverage.
• Supervise staff during operation nights (Fridays & Saturdays).
• Partner with local bakers to feature community products at the snack bar.
• Maintain inventory: order, receive, stock, and rotate supplies to ensure freshness and compliance with health standards.
• Manage nightly cash handling: collect and count money, reconcile with Square reports, ensure adequate change, and make weekly deposits for snack bar, gate and projector room.
• Record weekly phone messages with current movie titles, admission details, and special events.
• Decorate and maintain a clean, inviting snack bar and patio area for patrons.
• Oversee weekly cleaning and disinfecting of food service areas; ensure laundry and supplies are refreshed.
• Shop locally (Walmart, Sam’s Club, Costco, etc.) to reduce costs on frequently used items.
• Record and process weekly payroll for snack bar and gate staff.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in food service, retail management, or hospitality preferred.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Lead a team and make staff changes at a moment’s notice
• Knowledge of food safety standards and ability to maintain compliance.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends.
• Comfortable managing money, making deposits, and handling payroll.
Position Details
• Seasonal role: April – August, with a few October events.
• Hours: Primarily weekends (Friday & Saturday evenings), with additional prep and administrative hours during the week that could be 15 or more total hours per week.
